Two teenage boys, both 16, were yesterday remanded to police custody after appearing in a city court on a charge that they carried out a knife-point robbery at the Kingston Seawall.
It is the police’s case that the two defendants, at 9 pm on March 30, approached their two teenage complainants on pedal cycles. One of them was armed with a knife and held the male complainant at knife-point and ordered him not to move or scream while he relieved him of a cellphone, valued at $70,500.
Blackman said simultaneously the second accused took away the female complainant’s cellphone, valued at $91,000
