Former national youth player Omesh Dhanram’s all-round performance highlighted last weekend action in the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) matches.
In the Noble House Seafoods second division competition Dhanram guided the University of Guyana to a comprehensive victory over St. Stanislaus College at UG ground, Turkeyen.
Dhanram, who made 54 and took 10 wickets in the match led his team to victory by 293 runs.
Scores UG 233-5 declared; 33 overs (Frederick Pestano 78, Dhanram 54, Lyndon Wilson 3-56) and 202-9 declared;
38.5 overs (Melroy Stevenson 54, Jason Bhojedat 7-61).

the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) won first innings points from the Guyana Defence Force (GDF).

In the Carib Beer T20 competition on Saturday at the Malteenoes Sports Club ground, Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) defeated Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) by five wickets.
GYO won the toss and chose to bat scoring 163-6 off their allotted 20 overs, with Chris Deonarine making 72 (3×4, 7×6) off 44 deliveries while Garfield De’ Rouche and Kwame Crosse contributed 35 (27 balls) and 31 (21 balls) respectively. Bowling for GCC Ronaldo Ali-Mohammed finished with 2-35.
GCC in reply reached 167-5 in 19.1 overs, with all-rounder Gavin Singh top scoring with 47 (5×4, 2×6). Singh received support from national player, Robin Bacchus who made 46 from 35 deliveries and Mohammed who hit 21(2×4, 2×6) from the eight balls he faced.
