Wortmanville crushed Kingston by a 6-0 score line when the first annual Grassroots Foundation Inter-Ward knockout football tournament continued on Tuesday at the Tucville Community Centre ground.
Quason McAuley opened the scoring for the winners in the 15th minute with a right footed strike to the bottom of the net, after rounding opposing custodian within the right side of the penalty area.
The lead would be doubled 10 minutes later as Sheldon Holder netted with a simple finish down the middle of the empty net following a cheeky flick over the onrushing keeper within the centre of the 18 yard box.
Holder would increase his personal tally four minutes later through a shot to the left hand side of the net from inside the centre of the net, after latching onto a John Waldron through pass from the centre of midfield.
Wortmanville would continue to add to their lead with Holder sealing his hat trick in the 31st minute, slotting home his effort into lower left hand corner from inside the centre of the 18 yard box.
Anthony Abrams would get into the scoring exercise as he netted in the 51st minute compliments of an easy finish to the left hand side, following a one-on-one situation with the keeper, after collecting a through pass from Waldron just outside the centre of the box.
The result would be completed as Waldron scored in the 90th minute. In the second matchup, North East La Penitence squeaked past Mocha 7-6 on sudden death kicks after normal and extra time finished at 3-3.
