Beacons FC overcame the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) by a 3-2 score line when the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) first division league continued at the Tucville Community ground on Thursday.
Keron Solomon opened the scoring in the 57th minute for the Bourda based side through a penalty kick conversion, following an infringement inside the area.
Beacons would level the score line five minutes later as Jimmy Gravesande netted with a header into the back of the net from inside the penalty box.
GFC would quickly retake the lead in the 69th minute as Delon Cadogan scored, lashing his right footed effort into the roof of the net from within the centre of the box, after collecting a left sided pass.
Christian Garraway would restore parity to proceedings six minutes later through a right sided finish to the lower left hand corner after latching onto a poorly defended left side cross.
Beacons would complete the come from behind victory in the 86th minute as Darren Harris slotted home his right footed shot into the bottom right hand corner, after pouncing on a poorly cleared cross by the GFC custodian.
In the earlier fixture, Flamingo FC earned a walkover victory against Northern Rangers due to the latter’s failure to show up.
