A mother charged with burning her nine-year-year old daughter was back in court yesterday as her trial continued before Magistrate Geeta Chandan Edmond.
Patricia Pashor of lot 15 Norton Street, was charged in January 2013 with inflicting grievous bodily harm on her daughter.
Police Corporal Shondell Williams gave evidence yesterday against the accused. Williams was the officer who escorted the juvenile to the Georgetown Public Hospital for medical attention for which a medical certificate was obtained. Accord-ing to Williams, she observed burnt mark scars on the cheeks, by the mouth and on the arms of the child. She recorded her findings and obtain-ed a statement from the child which she affixed her signature to also.
When the trial continues on April 22, Pashor will lead her defence.
