Two litter bugs were yesterday sentenced to serve 30 hours of community work each at the City Constabulary Headquarters.
Danny Andrews pleaded guilty to the charge of depositing waste on Water Street on April 11, after Magistrate Geeta Chandan-Edmond read the charge to him.
David Jones also pleaded guilty to depositing waste on Commerce Street on April 10 for which he was administered the same punishment as Andrews. Both culprits were set to start their service immediately. They will be expected to work subsequently from 9 am to 3 pm, with a one hour lunch break and are not expected to work on holidays. Failure to comply will result in increased community service with an alternative of 20 days in prison.
