New Amsterdam United, led by a Kelvin Joseph six goal haul, dismantled Young Achievers by a 9-0 score line when the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) National Premier League concluded on Tuesday. Hosted at the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) ground on Vlissengen Road, the Berbice side would take the early lead in the 5th minute compliments of a Delroy Dean effort.
They would double their lead as Joseph opened his account with an eight minute conversion. He would score his brace 11 minutes later as the Berbice side increased their advantage to 3-0. The score line would continue to increase as Joseph sealed his hat trick with a 24th minute attempt.
His helmet trick would quickly follow as he scored one minute later to push the scores to 5-0. The score line would then balloon to 6-0 as he netted in the 26th minute. Joseph would complete his personal tally for the night, netting his final goal in the 50th minute.
Completing the score line for the winners with a quick fire brace in the 63rd and 70th minutes was Stephon Bouncer.
In the second matchup of the evening, Mahaica Determinators defeated Linden side Silver Shattas by a 2-0 margin. Mikel Benjamin and Quincy Holder led the winners with second half goals in the 65th and 83rd minutes respectively.
