Journalist W. Henry Skerrett has passed away at the age of 85.
Skerrett, who had spent his last years at the Uncle Eddie’s Home, died at the Georgetown Hospital on Saturday. Skerrett edited the New Nation and Kaieteur News at various times and also had a stint at Stabroek News as a subeditor/proofreader.
His funeral will take place on Tuesday, April 22 at the Lyken’s Funeral Home. Viewing at the parlour will be from 1pm followed by a funeral service at the parlour from 2 pm.
