Popular DJ Curtis ‘Casual’ Armstrong, who shot twice early Monday morning following a concert at the Guyana National Stadium, was transferred to a private hospital yesterday by relatives and his condition is listed as stable.
A relative, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Armstrong remains in a stable condition at the Woodlands Hospital where he is being monitored by doctors. He was shot to his abdomen and left arm around 4 am during an argument with two men in the car park of the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
Another man, Sean Hinds, one of Armstrong’s companions, was also shot during the row but was released from the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation after receiving treatment for the bullet wound to his left thigh.
Hinds had related that the argument began in the VIP section of the concert when Armstrong had gone to get ice for his drink. It later escalated in the car park and they were shot after the dispute became physical.
The relative was not aware if anyone had been arrested and had not been contacted by the police since the shooting.
