Pele FC and Beacons FC played to an exciting 5-5 draw when the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) u-17 football league commenced yesterday at the Tucville Community ground.
Marlon Nedd opened the scoring for Pele in the sixth minute with a finish to the back of the net from inside the penalty box, after evading multiple markers following a solo run from the centre of the midfield.
Pele would double their lead in the 32nd minute as Kerron Haywood netted with a powerful strike from the right side of the field into the roof of the woodwork. Samuel Hunte would pull one back for Beacons seven minutes later through a right-footed free kick from just outside the 18-yard box that went straight through the legs of the Pele custodian and rolled into the net.
Beacons would level the score line one minute after the commencement of the second period as Shamar Barrow
