A Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara couple was last evening discovered dead in their home following an apparent murder-suicide.
Vickram Ramdin, 31, and Nandanie Mohabir, 27, were found dead when the woman’s family went to the house following her absence from work. Mohabir’s prone body was found on the floor of their two children’s room while Ramdin’s was hanging a few feet away from bed sheets.
According to the woman’s family, the relationship had been rife with problems for years. Her family as well as neighbours pointed out that Ramdin had developed a serious drinking problem which might’ve contributed to the murder-suicide.
The couple had been together for 11 years after meeting in high school.
Police on the East Coast are investigating.
