A woman facing six charges, including assaulting a peace officer, was on Tuesday released on her own recognisance after denying the allegations.
Dawn Roberts, of Lot 9 North Road, Lacytown, was brought before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to face two counts of disorderly conduct and two counts of abusive language, along with one unlawful assault charge and a malicious damage to property charge. She pleaded not guilty to all of the charges when they were read to her by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
According to Prosecutor Michael Grant, all of the offences had been carried out against Michael Caesar, a peace officer, while he
