The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport (MCY&S) Easter Swimming Programme officially concluded yesterday at the Colgrain Swimming Facility with the closing ceremony.
The programme which lasted for three weeks and catered for 60 participants between the age-ranges of 6-11, was used to teach budding swimmers and no-swimmers, the basic techniques required for the discipline. The techniques which were taught by instructors Marcia Rodrigues, Marissa Wray and Isabel Cuoso Fals during the programme included facing water, gliding, throwing arms, kicking and floating amongst others.
