Nets defeated Trinity Grid Holdings (TGH) Pacesetters by a 48-35 score line to clinch the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) second division title on Monday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Homestretch Avenue.
Leading by two points with the scores at 18-16 going into the third quarter, Nets would register 16 points in the period while restricting Pacesetters to eight points to go into the final period ahead 34-24. Nets would then outscore their opponents 14-11 to clinch the title.
Mortimer Williams led the winners with 19 points while Joe Ifill netted nine points. Tariq Cave led the losers with 11 points.
