(Reuters) – LeBron James scored 22 points as the Miami Heat beat the visiting Brooklyn Nets 94-82 and took a 2-0 lead in their National Basketball Association Eastern Conference semi-final yesterday.
Two nights after being hammered by 21 points in the opener, the Nets were much more competitive and led by a point at half-time. They were still within two points with less than seven minutes left before the Heat went on an 8-0 run to break clear.
Miami, the second seed in the East, lead the best-of-seven series 2-0 as they go on the road for the next two games.
