Lomattie Ramdat who received several chops about her body while her husband Chetram Bharat was murdered at their Haslington, East Coast Demerara home, has been released from the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).
Her sister, Anita Goberdan, said she was released from the hospital on Wednesday for her husband’s funeral, but his relatives did not allow her to attend.
Goberdan said Ramdat revisited the hospital yesterday and her paperwork was finalized and she is currently staying with her mother.
Meanwhile, the police have since issued a wanted bulletin for 38-year-old Errol Khan of Lot 72 Blossom Scheme East Coast Demerara.
Initially, Bharat’s murder was thought to be the result of a robbery but investigations later revealed that the attack may have stemmed from a sour relationship between Ramdat and Khan. This came to light after Ramdat’s sister revealed that Ramdat’s children moved to live with her out of fear of being attacked by the man following threats he had made. Ramdat had initially said that she and her husband were attacked by robbers.
