Local Information and Communication Technology (ICT) service providers could get a key opportunity to demonstrate their goods and services to an international market when they travel to Suriname in June to participate in that country’s ICT Trade Exposition. Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) President Lance Hinds said the Chamber had decided to facilitate the visit to Suriname “as part of its overall focus on the development of ICT as a productive sector.” He had spoken briefly about the ICT event in Suriname during an interview with this newspaper a few weeks ago.
