Three prisoners are on the run after they managed to break out of a holding cell at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court today while a fourth was recaptured, Crime Chief Leslie James has confirmed.
He said that based on preliminary investigations the four prisoners escaped from a temporary holding area by removing the grill work. The break out occurred between 12.30 pm and12.45 pm.
Those on the run are murder accused Randolph Marks and Vickram Persaud and Keion Cummings a robbery under arms accused. Steve Bacchus, a murder accused, was recaptured.
From all indications the trio are unarmed and according to James road blocks have been set up in an attempt to apprehend them. He said ranks are actively looking for the escapees.
