The Upper Corentyne Cricket Association (UCCA) will be hosting a mini soft ball five-overs-per-side knockout competition on Independence Day at the No. 69 Vikings ground starting at 9:30hrs.
The competition is expected to feature 16 teams from across the district with the winner receiving $30,000 and a trophy compliments of Rahaman Razack Business Enterprise while the runners-up will take home $20,000.
Teams who are desirous in taking part are asked to contact Dennis De Andrade on telephone number 621-0014 as soon as possible due to limited spaces remaining. The entrance fee for teams is $5,000 while admission to the ground is $200.
All proceeds from this event will go towards purchasing of two covers for the UCCA.
