The East Coast of Demerara will crown a new champion when Beterverwagting (BV)-B faces off with Melanie-A in the final of the Guinness of the Streets East Coast edition today at the Haslington Market Place tarmac.
Defeating Melanie-B in their semi-final fixture by a 1-0 score line, BV-B will require another capable showing from the likes of Erin Fraser and Threon Petri, if they are to overcome the very dangerous Melanie outfit.
However, Melanie-A will be full of confidence following their 2-0 semi-final win over Victoria Church Yard United and will look to their dangerous trio of Dwight Peters, William Europe and Jamal George to power them to the win.
In the third place matchup, Victoria Church Yard United will face off with Melanie-B in what promises to be an open affair.
Winners of the event will $300,000 and the championship title while the second place side will collect $150,000 and the respective trophy. The third and fourth place side will receive $75,000 and $50,000 respectively.
