Grove Hi-Tech dismantled Soesdyke Falcons by a 12-0 score line when the CULT energy drink sponsored East Bank Football Association Under-17 league continued at the Grove Community ground on Friday.
Joel Dick led the assault for the home side with a helmet trick on either side of halftime scoring in the 13th, 43rd, 47th and 52nd minutes. He was supported by Threvon Pluck and Trevor Jones who netted doubles.
Pluck found the back of the net in the 25th and 50th minutes while Jones netted in the 53rd and 61st minutes. Completing the huge win with solo goals in the 26th, 64th, 66th and 68th minutes respectively were Antone Stanton, Kevin Padmore, Alwyne Haynes and Marvin Squires.
In the second matchup, Kuru Kururu Warriors came from behind to defeat Diamond United by a 2-1 margin. Daniel Melville, pushed the Diamond unit into the early lead as he netted in the 19th minute. The Warriors would level the scores through a Brian Daniels penalty kick conversion, following a foul inside the area. The come-from-behind win would be sealed in the 64th minute as Joshua Grant found the back of the net.
