The country’s three main technical and vocational institutes will soon see a boost as the Ministry of Education yesterday received tenders for the supply, delivery and installation of tools and equipment for them.
The bids were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) Main and Urquhart streets, Georgetown.
The bids would see the Government Technical Institute (GTI) and the Guyana Industrial Training Centre (GITC) both located on Woolford Avenue, Georgetown, and the New Amsterdam Technical Institute receiving tools and equipment for students to use.
The companies and their respective bids are shown in the tables below.

The Education Ministry also received tenders for the supply and delivery of Photocopying Machines for the Office of the Minister, the Inspectorate Unit, NCERD, CPCE and both campuses of the University of Guyana.
Bids were also received for the Supply and Delivery of Computer Accessories and networking of labs for the National Distribution Exercise.
Meanwhile the Ministry of Finance received bids for works being done to its Main Street building.
