Nothing to Laugh About is staging its seventh show, and, if prior performances are anything to go by, Guyanese are in for tear-jerking, belly busting performances.
The stage show – Nothing to Laugh About 7 – is directed by veteran comedian Lyndon ‘Jumbie’ Jones, and produced by Maria Benschop. It opened last night at the National Cultural Centre and its run will continue tonight, tomorrow and end on Monday. Tickets are $1,000, $1,500, and $2,000, and can be picked up at the Upscale Restaurant & Sports Bar, Giftland OfficeMax, Nigel’s Supermarket, Gizmos & Gadgets, Payless Variety Store, Elegance Jewellery & Pawnshop, Wireless City and the National Cultural Centre.
This year’s cast features Henry Rodney, Leza ‘Radika’ Singh, Michael Ignatius, Clemencio Goddette, Mark Kazim, Kerwyn Mars, Chris Gopaul, Simone Persaud, Leon Cummings, Alana Craigen, Gerard Gilkes, Johann David, Zoya Moore, Jermaine Grimmond, Brian Goodman, Ryan Benschop, Shantel Mc Lean, Colin Barker and other young rising stars.
