This bold little flycatcher is the White Headed Marsh Tyrant. As its name suggests, it can be found in marshy or wetland areas. They are a common sight, perching on branches around canals, rice fields, around the ponds in the Botanical Gardens in Georgetown, and in the Rupununi Wetlands. From its perch, the White Headed Marsh Tyrant sallies out to catch flying insects or to glean caterpillars from plants.
