Agricola Red Triangle overcame Kuru Kururu Warriors by a 2-1 score line when the CULT energy drink sponsored East Bank Football Association (EBFA) u-17 league continued on Saturday at the Grove Community ground.
Dakhown Matthews opened the scoring for the Agricola unit as he found the back of the net through a penalty kick conversion, following a hand ball infringement inside the penalty area. The Warriors would eventually level proceedings in the 32nd minute as Joshua Grant found the back of the net.
However Agricola would net what would prove to be the go-ahead winner two minutes later as Matthews sealed his first half double.
In the opening fixture, Herstelling FC led by a Cion Alfred trounced Soesdyke Falcons by a 7-0 margin. Curt Rohee opened the scoring for the winners with a strike in the very first minute of the fixture. Alfred then opened his account, doubling his side’s lead through a 15th minute strike.
He would quickly seal his brace as he netted five minutes later. Denzil Devon would then add his name to the scorer’s sheet as he netted in the 35th minute. O’Neil Sharp would then make it 4-0 as he found the back of the net seven minutes later.
Devon would then seal his double, scoring in the 58th minute. Not to be outdone, Alfred would complete his hat trick as he netted in the 66th minute to seal the lopsided win.
