Dear Editor,
I do not wish to get into and between the ramblings of Pastor Ronald McGarrell, but I am calling on every civic-minded Guyanese to condemn his words of hate, rancour and rejection directed to homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender persons in Guyana, during a radio programme.
I am no expert on theology and Christianity, however, the views he expressed entirely contradict everything that Christianity stands for.
Such nonsense that one is not born with homosexual behaviour and that it can be changed!
What do his followers in his own church, including those who fall into the LGBT population in Guyana have to say about this?
His cruel words should bring total rejection and condemnation from all rational-thinking people everywhere, and because of them I feel deeply, deeply hurt.
Yours faithfully,
Leon Suseran
