Herstelling FC led by a Seon Alfred hat trick on either side of half time, overcame Kuru Kururu Warriors 4-3 when the second round of the Stag Beer sponsored East Bank Football Association (EBFA) division league started on Sunday.
Hosted at the Grove Community ground, the Kuru Kururu Warriors broke the early deadlock when Allen Oslend found the back of the net through a sixth minute conversion. The Warriors doubled their advantage seven minutes later when Cordell Johnson found the back of the net.
However, O’Neil Sharp started the comeback when he cut the deficit to one through a 34th minute strike. Alfred opened his account, levelling the score line compliments of a 37th minute attempt.
Herstelling then took the lead for the first time in the fixture when Alfred sealed his brace with a 46th minute effort. He then doubled the lead, netting his hat trick one minute later. The Warriors would eventually pull one back in the 60th minute through a Nigel Bennett shot.
In the second fixture, the Soesdyke Falcons clawed their way past Mocha Champs by a 4-0 margin. Roger Dey opened the scoring for the winners when he found the back of the net compliments of a third minute strike.
Orin Tasher then increased their lead, etching his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 38th minute. It would soon become 3-0 in the 56th minute of the second period as Tasher completed his brace.
Dwayne Dellon then completed the lopsided score line when he found the back of the net in the 77th minute.
