There will be no transfer for students whose parents wish them to move to a school which require higher marks than they would have obtained at this year’s National Grade Six Assessment, the Education Ministry said in a release.
The ministry said all placements of students were made based on their performance at the examination and the capacity of schools.
However, the ministry said it is open for lateral transfers, which could see students transferred to schools within the same mark range and listing as the school where they were initially placed.
A request for such transfers could only be granted if the requested school has space to accommodate additional students.
