The Ministry of Health’s Vector Control Services (VCS) yesterday began the second phase of its fogging activities for mosquitoes in identified wards in the city, GINA said.
Yesterday saw the commencement of fogging in East, West, North and South Ruimveldt, Alexander Village, East and West La Penitence, Castello, Tucville, Roxanne Burnham Gardens, and Laing Avenue.
Today, fogging will continue in North East La Penitence, Meadow Brook Gardens, D’urban Backlands, Lodge, Albouystown, Charlestown, Werk-en-Rust, and Wortmanville. The following day, fogging will be done in Lacytown, Stabroek, Bourda, Cummingsburg, Alberttown, Queenstown and Newtown while on June 20 Campbellville, Prashad Nagar, Bel Air Springs, Subryanville and Kitty will see their second phase of fogging. The exercise will end on June 21 with fogging being done in North and South Sophia, and Kingston, GINA said.
