The Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) is gearing up to host the second edition of its Ansa McAl tribute to excellence awards later this month.
The main criteria of the ceremony is to recognize and honour outstanding persons who have made unpaid contributions in the field of sports, education and community development over the years while asserting themselves as positive role models to youths, the group said in a press release.
Berbicians are invited to submit nominations of persons who they believe meet the criteria. All nominees must be based in Berbice and must have provided over 20 years of unblemished service.
Nominations can be made to the RHTYSC office at Area ‘H’ Ground, Rose Hall or via email to foster_hilbert@yahoo .com by tomorrow.
Last year Carl Moore was recognised for his contribution to sport, Marilyn La Rose for community development and Rosaline Garnett, education.
