Could the relevant authorities please either say how a heavy-duty machinery rental company got permission to not only set up but spread out in a residential area, Delhi St in Prashad Nagar, or else investigate? A residential area is what it says – for residence.
It is not an industrial or business area. The narrow roads in this zoned area (as is also the case for numerous other areas) were meant for the weight of cars, and are not suitable for the several huge, heavy pieces of machinery stored here at this business, that cause traffic build-ups and also spread slippery mud across the entire road to the danger of pedestrians and cyclists. It could also be mentioned that the drains in front of this business appear to have collapsed or been filled in to make more room for the machines, which, if this is the case, would of course selfishly hinder the drainage of water from those parts of Prashad Nagar depending on this outlet.
Likewise, why are the several gold-mining companies which have also set up shop in Prashad Nagar being allowed to drive their heavy mining trucks and other equipment into the streets of this (now apparently ex-residential) area? Surely it is possible for these companies to nicely and considerately set up a sort of depot for their truck and machinery repairs or storage out of the city and also away from where persons live in villages along the East Bank Road?
