A Canadian man and a local insurance broker were on Tuesday evening robbed of over $100,000 in cash, a BlackBerry cellphone and other valuables as they were about to enter a restaurant on Sheriff Street.
The men who were identified as Danichar Singh of Cummings Lodge and Toronto-based Ronald Muri were making their way into the Atlantic Restaurant at Sheriff Street, Campbellville shortly before 8pm when they were robbed by two men who later escaped in a white car.
Crime Chief Leslie James told this newspaper that investigations are ongoing.
