The Guyana Police Force says that with effect from Friday July 04, 2014, and for a period of approximately two weeks, vehicles will not be allowed to proceed East along Young Street, between High Street and Parade Street, Georgetown.
This traffic restriction is in order to facilitate rehabilitation works being conducted at the US Embassy, Georgetown, and will be in force between Monday and Saturday of the week.
Motorists are asked to be cautious when travelling through the area and to comply with the instructions given by way of signs placed there or by police ranks, the police said in a press release.
