At about 0740h today, police say that a fatal accident occurred at the Land of Canaan Public Road, EBD, which resulted in the death of pedestrian Gabriella Davidson, 8 years, of Land of Canaan.
Police say that investigations have revealed that the child attempted to cross the road and was struck down by a motor vehicle. She died while receiving treatment at the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, EBD.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
