A 41-year-old woman who reportedly abused her mother appeared at the Christianburg Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Clive Nurse on Tuesday to answer to the charge of the use of abusive language.
It was alleged that on Friday, June 27, Beverly McRae, a mother of four made use of abusive language towards her mother Leah Elexey.
The defendant who resides at 218 Blueberry Hill, Wismar, Linden pleaded not guilty to the charge and was placed on a $5,000 bail on the condition that she removes from the premises since she resides with her mother.
When asked by the magistrate where she will be staying, the defendant said at a friend somewhere in Second Alley, Wismar and that she did not know the address accurately.
She is to return to court on August 6.
