DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, CMC-West Indies pacer Kemar Roach has leapfrogged five places to tenth on the Reliance ICC Player Rankings for Test bowlers following an outstanding display in the third Test against New Zealand in Barbados which ended on Monday.
Roach was rewarded for his match haul of eight wickets for 116 runs with a career-best ranking, sharing the position and the same ratings points as Australia’s Peter Siddle.
The Barbados pacer, who returned from a shoulder injury just before the start of the three-match home series, also claimed his 100th Test wicket during the match.
Meanwhile test debutant Jason Holder has entered the rankings table for the first time in 96th position.
Also making positive moves in the batting rankings are West Indies’ Kirk Edwards in 58th (up by four) and Kraigg Brathwaite in 62nd (up by seven).
West Indies team remains in eight position in the rankings after losing the series to New Zealand two-one.
