Team Guyana suffered their third consecutive defeat, going down to Barbados 80-69 in their final Group-B match-up when the 2014 Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) championships continued yesterday in the British Virgin Islands.
Captain Rawle Marshall once again led the local side with a team high 21 points. He was assisted by Ryan Stephaney who netted 14 points, Andre Ifill who recorded figures of 12 points and seven rebounds and Akeem Kanhai who scored 10 points.
Keefe Birkett led Barbados with a game high 28 points while Akeem Marsh netted 13 points. Assisting in the win with figures of eight points, 13 rebounds and six assists and eight points respectively were David Gill and Mark Bridgeman. With the loss, Guyana has finished at the bottom of group-B with no wins.
