Facing a possession of narcotics for trafficking charge, Linden man Dexter Albert was yesterday remanded to prison when he appeared in a city magistrate’s court.
Albert appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore and he pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on July 3, in Grove, he was allegedly found with 250 grammes of the illegal substance in his possession.
Police prosecutor Adduni Innis objected to bail because of the quantity of the illegal substance Albert had in his possession.
Albert, a father of one, is due to reappear in court before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry next Tuesday.
