Dynamic Airways has announced the suspension of its flights to New York from next week until August 8 as it seeks to iron out administrative issues and secure a gate slot at the John F Kennedy International Airport in New York.
“This temporary suspension will allow us to secure time slots at JFK airport, organize better ground handling and check in process as well as secure schedule integrity which Dynamic Airways is well known for,” a statement from the airline said, while noting operational difficulties with securing time slots at JFK Airport for July.
The announcement is the latest setback for the new airline, which has had a troubled entry into the local market with numerous problems besetting its inaugural flight from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri and its subsequent grounding at JFK for a series of violations.
