A delegation of Swedish investors yesterday met with President Donald Ramotar to discuss the possibility of investing in Guyana’s growing economy, GINA said.
The team comprising eight different companies from Sweden has been visiting various Caribbean nations.
Member of the team, Bertil Karlsson said during the meeting several areas were discussed with the President including using modern techniques to improve deficiencies in lumbering., GINA reported.
Other areas relevant to Guyana, Karlsson said, will include surveillance applications, solar energy, and environmental monitoring.
Karlsson and his delegation are expected to have a follow-up meeting next week.
