A Surinamese man fell off a truck and died after he became entangled in wires yesterday along the public road at No. 51 Village, Corentyne.
Dead is Richie Debideen, 25, of Nickerie, Suriname.
A senior police officer told Stabroek News the man was apart of a Cony Island crew and was travelling from Springlands to transport company equipment.
The officer said he apparently got “caught up” in some wires in the tray of the truck and fell out.
The incident occurred around 4pm.
Debideen was rushed to the Skeldon Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
