Mackenzie High School swamped St. Stanislaus College by a 52-13 score line in their U-16 matchup when the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) 9th National Schools Basketball Festival (NSBF) continued on Thursday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Kelvon Cadogan led the winners with 20 points, seven rebounds and five steals. He was assisted by Daniel Anthony who registered a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. Netting eight points for the losers was Kadeem Bowen. The second matchup of the division saw St. Roses High defeating New Amsterdam Multilateral 43-39. Nathan Saul continued his scoring form as he netted 16 points while Shamar Huntley chipped in with eight points.Recording a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds in the loss was Ramone Fogenay. In the final matchup within the division, Marian Academy edged the Bishops’ High 47-41. Dwayne Obermuller and Narriyan Ramdhani led the winners with 13 points apiece.
Netting a whopping 27 points while picking up 13 rebounds and six steals in the loss was Timothy Thompson. In the U-14 section, St. Stanislaus College crushed St. Roses by a 17-3 score line.
