The Janus Cultural Policy Initiative (JCPI) Writing Workshop is hosting a series of writing workshops across the country during July and August.
According to a press release, the workshops will be held in Georgetown, Berbice, Essequibo, St Cuthbert’s Mission and Linden and is open to all poets, playwrights, students and journalists.
As part of the Education and Capacity Building component of the JCPI, it facilitated workshops on fiction, poetry drama and feature journalism at the Umana Yana on July 9 and 10. Sessions are also being held at the Umana Yana on July 17 and 18 from 9am to 12 and from 1pm to 4pm and are free. Follow-up workshops on the same topics will be facilitated in August 8,9,13 and 14.
