The main access road leading to the University of Guyana entrance has been resurfaced.
A release from the Ministry of Public Works on Tuesday said that this project was completed on Monday, July 13, 2014 and was carried out by the Force Account Unit (FAU), which somes under the Ministry of Public Works.
The length of road resurfaced is 500 feet.
In addition, the release said that drains along the thoroughfare and the sidewalk were also cleaned.
Further, a deteriorated section of the road in the Turkeyen Campus compound and the Cyril Potter College of Education (CPCE) road were also resurfaced and repaired respectively.
The rehabilitation works amounted to GYD 7.2M.
Prior to this project, the FAU resurfaced the roads leading to Sophia from UG and in Donkey City, Stabroek Market.
