A man accused of threatening to chop his sister and burn down their house was yesterday placed on $15,000 bail when he appeared before Magistrate Geeta Chandan Edmond at the Georgetown Magis-trates’ Court.
The allegation against Pitram Persaud is that on July 14 at their 41 Robb Street, Bourda residence he used threatening language to his sister, Kamala Persaud.
The 57-year-old man denied the charge when it was read to him.
