Digicel Guyana and the Guyana Amazon Warriors as part of the ongoing Limacol Caribbean Premier League (LCPL) T20 tournament brought smiles to the faces of young cricketers and some of the country’s differently- abled children during an interactive clinic yesterday.

The activities took place at the Everest Cricket Club’s Lawn Tennis tarmac where the Amazon Warriors’ Leon Johnson, Chris Barnwell and Navin Stewart engaged in a session with a few local club players along with a bevy of differently-abled children from across special schools in the country.

The players engaged in various cricket exercises with the youngsters who were ever excited to learn from the cricketers they looked up to.

Digicel communications manager Vidya Sanichara thanked the players for taking time out of their busy schedules to interact with the children and to act as heroes and mentors in the process. Speaking about the LCPL 2014, Sanichara said that plans are also going well with regards to the company’s part played in the tournament.
