A minibus conductor accused of cursing a policewoman who attempted to board the bus on which he works was yesterday placed on $5,000 bail when he appeared before Magistrate Ann McLennan.
Indar Boodoo, 53, pleaded guilty to the July 15, charge which stated that at the Stabroek Market he used abusive language to Shellon Edwards.
In his explanation to the court, Boodoo who was unrepresented by counsel said that he never cursed the woman. He accepted the prosecution’s account that he told the woman not to enter his bus because she does not like to pay.
The 176 Barr Street, Kitty resident however maintained that he never cursed Edwards. He said he knew the woman
