Police say that investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 0010h. today at Colombia, Mahaicony, ECD, and which resulted in the death of pedal cyclist Christopher Hookumchand, 22 years, of South Prospect, Mahaicony.
Investigations have revealed that Hookumchand was riding his bicycle along the roadway when he was struck down by a motor car. He was pronounced DOA at the Mahaicony Cottage Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
