Nicola Joseph who allegedly stabbed her reputed husband to death on Monday remains in police custody and investigations into the murder continue, says the Crime Chief.
Dead is Curtis Mc Kinnon, 38, of Lot 12 Plantain Walk, West Coast
Demerara. He met his demise during a row with Joseph.
Crime Chief Leslie James told Stabroek News that Joseph is still in
custody and that the investigation continues.
According to neighbours who heard the couple arguing, they were alerted to the stabbing by Joseph’s 18-year-old son, who ran out of the house and summoned them.
The neighbours told Stabroek News that they lifted Mc Kinnon on the blood soaked mattress he was lying on from the house to the road, so he could have been taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital for treatment. However Mc Kinnon was pronounced death on arrival at the health facility.
Mc Kinnon who was employed as a Contract Supervisor for Guyana Water Incorporated leaves to mourn his three children and three step children, five of whom were present in the house when he died.
