Guyana’s squash players headed by world ranked number 19 and CAC gold medallist Nicolette Fernandes will swing into action today at the Commonwealth Games which got underway yesterday in Scotland.
Fernandes is one of three Guyanese squash players who will be in action today. The others are Sunil Seth and Alexander Arjoon.
Tomorrow at 1pm boxer Eon Bancroft will compete in the men’s welterweight division round of 32 followed by Imran Khan while Dennis Thomas will be in action on Saturday in a men’s middleweight encounter. The men’s table tennis team will compete against India and the women against Scotland on Friday evening. Also on Saturday cyclists Alanzo Greaves, Scott Savoury and Geron Williams will compete in the 40Kilometre race
On Sunday in track and field Adam Harris and Jeremy Bascom will compete
in the men’s 100m.
